Recruiting African Workers Through an Agency – What the Employer Gains
On-the-ground candidate verification, documentation and arrival logistics. Why recruiting independently in African markets rarely pays off.

Table of contents
Africa as a recruitment direction
Kenya, Zimbabwe, Uganda, Ethiopia and other countries in the region have a very young population and many people with experience in production, construction, agriculture and logistics. For employers in Croatia this means access to candidates in markets that are still under-tapped.
- High availability of candidates for physical and technical roles
- English often spoken at a communicative level
- Strong motivation for long-term employment
- Experience gained earlier in Gulf markets
Where independent recruitment usually fails
| Stage | Risk of recruiting independently | The agency's role |
|---|---|---|
| Finding candidates | Adverts reach random people | A network of local partners and recruiters |
| Verification | No way to check experience and documents | On-the-ground pre-selection and interviews |
| Documentation | Formal errors extend the process by months | Compiling and checking documentation |
| Arrival | No logistics or support after landing | Arranging transport and reception |
How our process works
- 1
Brief and job profile
We agree on headcount, requirements, conditions and the date by which workers need to be on site.
- 2
Candidate pre-selection
We verify experience, documents and motivation. Practical and language tests are optional, for an extra fee.
- 3
Presentation and the client's decision
You receive candidate profiles and decide who moves to the next stage.
- 4
Arrival and onboarding
We arrange transport, hand the worker over to the employer and stay in contact after the start.
We do not promise candidates "in 14 days". The realistic time from decision to arrival depends on the processing capacity of the competent authorities, consulates, embassies and visa systems, and you receive that plan in writing.
